Lately, I have been digging the denim trend. As I bought a high waisted denim jeans, I immediately matched some clothing pieces with it. One of the pieces is: white simple top. I rolled my denim jeans up to give a bit of a feminine look and I paired the outfit off with the Nike Roshe runners in the colour grey to match with the light coloured simple outfit.
As a
sixteen year old teenager I went to the opening of the store Ace and Tate
without knowing what exactly the store was about. Ace and Tate store opened on the
10th of September of 2015. I had no idea what it was and my friend told me
that it’s an optician so, I didn’t expect a lot of it. But the moment I stepped
in the store, the thought was “wow”, I have never ever seen an optician like
this. The interior was so different from all the others. It was modern and it
fits perfectly to the taste of young-adults nowadays. The interior, which had a
minimalist/modern style gave a very good/professional impression.
I looked at
the glasses and tried it on and I immediately fell in love with it, I knew I
had to have glasses from Ace and Tate. Then I walked to the sunglasses and again,
I fell in love with it. It was modern, it was unique, it was everything I ever
wanted and the best thing; the quality of the sunglasses was extremely noticeable.
The other good part is that every glass and sunglasses were 98 euros, compared
to the quality it’s very cheap.
The next
day I went with my mom and looked for a new pair of glasses. A fellow worker came
to me and helped me a lot. She looked at my face shape and she told me that I
had a round face but I also had some angles so she told me I could pull off any
shape of glasses eventually we went for glasses with some angle and some roundness
to it just like my face shape. I liked the frame: Alfred in the color espresso
gradient, the most. As I picked this one up, I made an appointment to measure
my eye strength. After knowing what the strength of my eyes were, we had to wait for my actual glasses.
The second
day we bought a ticket from hop on hop off bus for 48 hours. I will tell a bit
more about this bus because, sorry to say, but we were not happy about this
company. They have three lines, yellow, green and red line. The green one was
the most famous one and this one would cover most part of Prague so, many people
took this road. During the summer there were many people who bought the tickets
and so the bus was always full. The bus would arrive every 15 minutes, but some
people waited for one hour because every time there were no place left in the bus. Eventually we took
this bus just three times in 48 hours. We covered Prague a lot by foot. But all
in all it was ok because this bus took us to the Prague castle which is hard to get there because the public transport don’t take you up to the Prague castle because the
place is located too high and the boat trip was included.
* I'm talking about the orange busses from the company www.hopon-hopoff.cz and not the red sightseeing busses.
We started
this day with the Petrîn hill, which was a beautiful place. We bought tickets
for the cable train which, will bring you up above the hill. We walked and we
saw an astronomical museum, which was an awesome museum and if I say it’s
awesome it really is awesome because I do not say this about many museums.
Entry of
the museum
There was a
wall full of stars. With a touch screen which, you could choose your own constellation
and mine was Aquarius and then most stars will stop shining and only Aquarius would shine and you could see how it really looked like during the nights.
When we
walked further we came across a room with a mega telescope. There was a man who
was explaining about the telescope and he offered us to look through it. I
looked through it and I could see the plasma of the sun, which was an
astonishing experience. There were many other fun things to do, but you have to
visit to experience the fun. When we walked outside, we wanted to see the tower
and while we walked to the tower, we saw many other beautiful buildings.
After the
Petrîn hill we took the bus and went to the place where we could take the boat
trip. This boat took us around for one hour on the Vlata river. This was very
relaxing and calming.
We ended
the day by strolling around the old town square and having a foot massage at a Thai
massage salon! That was freaking lovely ! You should try it, they have many salons
located in the old town. You can notice this salon by the green colored
decorations.
I will share my experience
and products with you. I'm not an expert but, these are the products that
worked for my skin.
-Remove
the makeup - Garnier oil based eye makeup remover
-Cleanse
your face - Perfectly clean ' Estée Lauder
-Popping
pimples
-Disinfect
the pimples - The tea tree oil
-Use
a mask - Green clay mask ' De tuinen / Clay mask Mint & Lemon ' Freeman
-Put
a serum on - L'Oreal paris Skin perfection serum
-Moisturize
your face - L'Oreal Paris Skin perfection moisturizer
Firstly, I will begin by
removing my makeup with an oil based eye makeup remover from Garnier because I use
a waterproof eyeliner. Then I will cleanse my face with "Perfectly
Clean" From Estée Lauder. It's a Multi-action Foam cleanser/Purifying
mask. Which means you can use it as an everyday cleanse so you put it on your
face and massage it over your wet skin and rinse it off, which I do
every day. But you can also use it as a mask. If you use it as a mask, you have
to use it twice a week and massage it over your skin leave it there about 3
minutes and then rinse it off. I didn't use it as a mask because I think it
will dry out my skin because I have a dry/combination skin.
After the cleansing I would
pop some pimples with my very thin needle, but the next step is very crucial.
After popping the pimple or with a thin needle ALWAYS CLEAN IT with a cleaning
product most people don’t do this which may be one of the reasons that they
think that popping pimples are bad because if you don’t clean it the bacteria
will spread and you will get even more pimples. After popping my pimples with a
thin needle I would use the tea tree oil from the body shop. The tea tree oil
is an extract from a plant which fights and removes the bacteria of the
pimples. After cleaning it thoroughly with the tea tree oil I will put a face
mask on my face.
I won't put a mask on my face not
very often, maybe once in a month. Because I think it would dry out my skin and
what you have to know is if you think your skin is too oily and you skip the
moisturizer and use a mask very often, it would get you even more pimples
because your skin is drying out and your skin will think it needs more oil so
in the end you will end up having even more pimples than before.
The masks that I use every
now and then are from Freeman and De tuinen. De tuinen is a store in Holland,
which sells products made from natural products.
The clay mask of Freeman is
less concentrated so the clay mask of De Tuinen works a bit better. Freeman has
many masks and I chose the clay mask Mint & Lemon because, it’s the most
effective one against breakout and large pores. The lemon and mint cools the
skin down from irritation or redness and the clay absorbs oils to minimize
shine and the appearance of large pores.
This green clay mask
penetrates deep into pores. The tea tree oil and the lavender oil are additional
active ingredients. Green clay is very cleansing, rich in enzymes and contains
many beneficial minerals. This mask is a lot stronger and that’s why I don’t
cover my whole face with it, but just the parts where the pimples are. People with
oily skin can try to cover the whole face. It would be even more effectively if you put a mask on after a shower because the pores are wide open from the warmth.
After rinsing the mask off,
my skin would feel a bit dry so when I do put a mask on I will also put a serum
on afterward. My skin would be fresh and clean and then it’s smart to feed your
skin with good stuff and that will be done by a serum.
I use a serum from the line
Skin Perfection of L’oreal Paris. This serum has a powerful formula enriched
with Perline-P and patented LR 2412. It claims to perfect your skin by
penetrating through the skin’s epidermis layers. Pores will be minimized, the tone
of the skin will be more even and the skin will have a silky-soft texture. The satin-touch
serum helps boost hydration and refine skin texture. I don’t use it very often
and I neither have large pores so it’s hard to tell whether it works or not, but
it does a great job at making my skin soft whenever I use it. Also, I trust L’oreal
Paris because the serum has a great formula.
After the serum I will
moisturize my face and that’s also from the line Skin perfection. All products
from this line has almost same ingredients and all have the same target. So it
would even have more effect if you use all the products from that line but, it
may be too much.
Hope my post was helpful and thanks for reading !
We arrived at 8 AM on august the 11th, my first thought was: it's so hot! I wore a shirt with a long black skinny jeans and when I arrived. I immediately went to the bathroom to change my outfit Taxi driver picked us up and drove us to the hotel. There we could leave our Luggage and we could start our adventure. We walked along the riverside and eventually we saw the Charle's bridge and man it was a beautiful view on the Charle's bridge ! While we were walking to the Charles bridge, we went through the Kampa park. This park had memorials from the world war two, many Jewish people were killed in Prague at that time. The memorials and objects which were left behind from that time gave me a sad and cold feeling. After the Kampa park we arrived at the bridge. When I was on the bridge I noticed many beggars. I put some money in their hats, which they were holding. I thought it was so sad because they were like kneeling on the ground and their heads were bent forward and just to imagine that they have to stay in that pose for hours long in that weather, it broke my heart. On the bridge there was a tower and from there we went up and we had a beautiful view of Prague. We walked a bit around but we had to quickly go back to the hotel because it was so hot we thought our skin were burning. When we got back to the hotel we expected that they had air conditioning but no they didn't .. So we had another solution for that. We held a party in the bathtub with ice cold water. Then we decided to stay in for a few hours because it was too sunny and hot outside and in the evening we went outside and walked around. Prague looks like a night city because in the evening it was still alive and crowded with people !
Our experience was great but with a few tips, it would be even better !
- When it's above 30 degrees in Prague, don't underestimate !
-When it's above 30 degrees take a hat with you or something to cover up ! (I looked for a hat over 3 days ! )
-When you arrive at the hotel, ask immediately for a map and information about the transportation.
Yesterday, I was at school. And there was a classmate, whose father came to school and she saw him and she was so happy to see him and jumped right on him. When I saw it, I was very happy for her because she is happy, but on the other hand I was very sad. It happens many times. Every time I see someone being happy with his/her dad, I become sad and jealous. He left me when I was around 4 years old. And I never really thought about him when I was little and I never thought that it would affect me. But as I grow older, I think a lot more about it. And sometimes I just ask myself, was I not good enough for him? Was I not good enough for him to stay and care for me? Or at least just come by now and then and just show that he does care about me? Wouldn’t my life be a lot better and easier if I would have a father next to me and supporting me? Whenever I see a happy family, I just feel lonely within a second. I don’t mean that I don’t appreciate my mom, my life or anything. My life is great. These are just my thoughts now and then. Tell me your story and experience and how you deal with it if you want, I’m there for you. Thanks for reading ! xx
Recently I came across this picture
on Tumblr. “Too much perfection is a mistake.” When I saw it, I thought
immediately about the book: ”The giver” written by: Lois Lowry. It
is set in a society which is at first presented as a utopian society, but
questions the reader, whether the societies' utopia is worth the cost. The
society has eliminated pain and strife by converting to "Sameness," a
plan that has also eradicated emotional depth from their lives. The
Community lacks any color, memory, climate and terrain whatsoever,
all in an effort to preserve structure, order, and a true sense of equality
beyond personal individuality. The book shows actually the perfect world,
without; war and comparing between individuals and pain (you’re not even
allowed to slide off the slide because they think it’s too dangerous)
etc. Everybody is equal and the government has everything in control. The
citizens don’t need to worry about his/her future or anything, the government
has it all settled and decided for them. This shows that perfection is a
mistake because the citizens in the book showed us that they didn’t know
sadness but neither happiness nor joy. There is no happiness nor joy without
sadness. But I do think that the world today could be less violent and also the
wrong image of the society of “need to be, need to do, need to have” could be
less. So what do you think about the perfect world? Do you think that the bad
side of the world should be all erased or just a part of it or do you rather
have the world we have today?
