I live in the Netherlands, so Amsterdam is not new to me and that's why I didn't go sightseeing. But I still wanted to capture this moment, while I was in Amsterdam. I went to Amsterdam during my school holiday. This was one of the very times that I went to Amsterdam without adults, so I could spend my money freely without any restrictions ( which is not always good ).
First of all, we went to De Bijenkorf, where all luxury brands can be found. It surprised me that Amsterdam had far more different brands than Rotterdam, it made me jealous. Wish that I lived in a city with the most different brands and variety of shops. In De Bijenkorf, I bought a dress from Topshop. After walking around in De Bijenkorf, I also discovered Jo Malone and I tested all different fragrances.
After that, we walked around in the city center, where we saw big sale posters on the window of Steve Madden. Luckily we went into Steve Madden, because I found the cutest black purse. I always wanted to buy a little black purse, because I didn't always like to carry a big bag.
We walked further and a man from Obey Your Body approached us. He took us in and began to talk about his amazing product : purifying gel peel. It's an amazing product which pushes dirt from your seven skin layers out of your skin. You leave it there for 30 seconds and then you gently start to rub it over your skin and you will see dirt coming out of your skin. After that, he took a tissue and wiped the dirt and the gel off my skin. My skin felt so soft and it still felt soft after 8 hours. He also guaranteed that it would help against acne. I'm a weak sucker so I bought it ! After using it at home for one week, I have no regrets !
After walking for hours, we went to a Chinese restaurant for lunch called Oriental city. It's in the city center and you can recognize it by the green colour of the building. It tasted like the Chinese food I usually eat, so it's definitely good.
After lunch, we walked around in the city center, trying out more clothes. I saw a black leather jacket, parka and a bomber jacket from Zara, which I all liked. But I was out of money unfortunately, so I had to restrain myself, which was painful.
We also went to the Magna Plaza, very beautiful building, but the shops are pretty random. I also discovered Yankee candles in the Magna Plaza, which I was stoked about. But they were soooooo expensive...
After walking the whole day, we went back to De Bijenkorf again, this time not for the products but for food. We went upstairs to De Bijenkorf restaurant, finishing the day off with a wrap, muesli with yogurt, dessert and a smoothie.
Hope you liked this post !
Yours, Lucy
